Telecommunications Transmission Courses (TTC)

• TTC-001 Transmission Principles - Basic
  Aim - This course is intended to provide the trainee with an overview of the transmission equipment associated with the fixed network and a working understanding of basic transmission principles.
  Who should attend - The course is intended for fixed network transmission technicians, who are required to maintain microwave, fibre, multiplexers, SDH/PDH and optical fibre and coaxial interface equipment installed to support advanced telecommunications networks.
• TTC-002 Transmission Principles (Advanced)
  Aim - The aim of this course is to provide the trainee with a basic understanding of Transmission Principles as applied to the telecommunications industry and how there principles are used in modern transmission systems.
  Who should attend - The course is intended for all engineering personnel, who would like to understand more about the principles used in transmission systems or mature trainees who need to refresh their theoretical knowledge.
• TTC-003 Basic Transmission Maintenance
  Aim - This course is intended to provide the trainee with a working knowledge of the maintenance of transmission equipment, associated with fixed networks. This course is intended as a generic course and is not vendor equipment specific and therefore discusses maintenance procedures and techniques.
  Who should attend - The course is intended for fixed network transmission technicians, who are required to maintain Microwave Radio, Fibre, SDH/PDH Multiplexers, Digital Cross Connects and Terminal Multiplexers and Optical Line Terminal Equipment.
• TTC-004 Modern Digital Communications
  Aim - The aim of this course is to provide the trainee with a basic understanding of modern digital communications and data communications.
  Who should attend - The course is intended for personnel, who are new to data communications or transferring from a strict data processing background, managers who are new to data communications, or those who need to update their knowledge. Modern Digital Communications covers the complete range of communications technologies from smoke signals to satellites, SDH and ATM.
