Aim - This three day Learning event, sets-out to teach the effective planning process for you to plan a Data Centre. Basic principles will be taught how to locate and size your Data Centre, how to dimension UPS and Power systems, Fire Suppression systems, which type to choose, Precision Air-Conditioning systems (PAC), lighting, cabling, cabinets and much more. What types of services to offer. How to administrate and monitor your Data Centre. Define your service offerings based on your customer needs and understand the legal framework for service delivery. Formulate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and select the right data backup strategy. Define and deliver your security strategy, select the right monitoring tools. Pick the right platform for service delivery, Data Centre scenarios (hardware and software). How to implement a sound security strategy, intrusion detection, anti– virus protection and how to determine the required skill sets for operation and maintenance
