ESOC-001 Introduction to eGovernment

Aim - This two day Learning event, sets-out to teach the basics of eGovernment, in a methodical, straight forward and easy to understand way. Understand why enlightened Governments of the world are embracing eGovernment and the Knowledge Economy (K-Economy) and why the Information Society is necessary in this day and age. The World Summit of the Information Society (WSIS), the United Nations and the International Telecoms Union (ITU) has called upon the nations of the world to use Information Communication Technologies (ICT) to enhance the lives of the peoples of the world.
Who should attend - The course is intended for all, who need to have an understanding of how eGovernment works and the larger picture of how eGovernment fits into the world stage. The course is therefore ideal for all Government employees who are about to go through the Change Management Process initiated by eGovernment and will make sure that everyone has the same viewpoint and direction in this initiative.
