    Aim - This course is intended to provide the trainee with an overview of Wireless Local Loop (WLL) technology and a working understanding of network design for wireless telecommunications.

  • MTWTC-006 Universal Mobile Telephone Service (UMTS)
    Aim - This course is intended to provide the trainee with an overview of UMTS and all the key aspects of 3G technology, covering the fundamentals of CDMA, radio interface, network topology, transport network, core network, protocol layers as well as ATM and IP.
    Who should attend - The course is intended for engineers, technical managers, project and product managers with a background in mobile telecommunications systems. While delegates should preferably have an engineering background, the course would be of significant benefit to anyone embarking on the road to 3G, whether as network operator, equipment vendor or regulator.
  • MTWTC-007 Wireless Broadband
    Aim - This course is intended to provide the trainee with an overview of Wireless Broadband and how Wireless broadband Technology is evolving. All types of Wireless Broadband technologies will be covered including, fixed, mobile and nomadic.
    Who should attend - This course is intended to for all staff who need a detailed understanding of Wireless Broadband and how Wireless broadband Technology is evolving.
  • MTWTC-007 UMTS Technology and Utran Network Design
    Aim - The course will provide a detailed technical overview of UMTS technology and CDMA design principles in designing 3G systems, with some practical exercises. Topics will include 3G specifications, UMTS architecture and services, voice and data traffic engineering and network design. The course will also highlight some practical considerations including co-siting with GSM.
    Who should attend - The course is intended for planning engineers, support staff, management and those requiring a technical understanding of the technology and implementing 3G services within the 3G planning process.
