Aim - This two day Learning event, sets-out to teach the basics of eLearning in all it’s different flavours, in a methodical, straight forward and easy to understand way. Understand why eLearning is an important sub-set of eGovernment and how eLearning is being implemented in other parts of the world, in a Blended-Learning environment and also to provide education to remote communities in an attempt to bridge the ‘Digital Divide’. Understand the advantages and disadvantages of On-Line Learning v Self-directed, Self-paced learning and why learning is a life long process. eLearning is not new and there are many failure stories and few success stories. Learn what mistakes have been made, how not to repeat these mistakes. Learn about the processes of content creation, what users want and how people learn.
Who should attend - The course is important for all Government employees who are about to plan, co-ordinate and implement eLearning as apart of an eGovernment initiative.
