NETSEC-001 Network And Internet Security

Aim - This two day Learning event, sets-out to teach the basics of Network and InterNet Security, in a methodical, straight forward and easy to understand way.
Understand what it takes to secure a network against attacks and intrusions. Get to know the various levels of network defense, the layered and stacked defense philosophy and the technical implementation of defensive measures. Learn to evaluate threat situations and how to counter them. Get introduced to identity management and access authorization schemes, how to plan and implement them. Be enabled to implement an end-to-end security solution. Get familiar with Firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Access Credentials and trust solutions. Learn what mistakes have been made, how not to repeat these mistakes. Learn about the balance between security and usefulness and how to asses the risk factors.
